Although a a printed Owner’s Manual will be shipped with your stove, downloading and printing one now gives you time for study.

Help Us Understand What Chimney Components Are Required
Examples Of Photographs You Should Email

INTERIOR PHOTO(S): Happiness is found in a well lived-in home. The residents are considering this corner as a possible location for their Unforgettable Fire® wood stove. If so, the space will need to be cleared to meet the clearance requirements of the stove and pipe. Appropriate floor protection will need to be installed, and the proximity of the stove and pipe to the window coverings will need to be addressed.

EXTERIOR PHOTO(S): This exterior photo corresponds to the location of the interior photo. Obviously, this home is a single-story residence, and although there is a masonry chimney, it does not correspond to the interior location under consideration. Furthermore, the masonry chimney already services an oil-wood furnace and thus disqualifies it from use for a wood stove. A new manufactured Class A passthrough will be required and will exit the roof near the front door, if this location is selected. As a chimney at this location may cause an aesthetic issue, an alternative location in another part of the house might be a better option, if there is one. The asphalt shingled roof provides clues as to what chimney flashing will be required.

SIDE VIEW PHOTO(S): Confirmation of the roof’s pitch ensures that we order the proper chimney flashing. This side view confirms the pitch and helps us confirm the amount of Class A pipe will be required for the Class A passthrough.Â
